Living just outside of Carnoustie in a beautiful 5 bedroom house, Julie had just been through an ordeal after discovering her cowboy builder had left her with poorly supported flooring and no insulation.

After months of creaky floorboards taunting her every movement, it was time to take action.

Julie had previously laid Karndean using another local supplier, however her underfloor heating had caused the material to lift so didn’t feel confident in their recommendation of materials or installation methods.

With her kids attending the local school, she’d passed the Millers shop on numerous occasions and with car parking just round the corner decided one day to pop in for chat. Explaining her situation to Penny, Julie felt like the weight had started to lift off her shoulders.

As work was being done in the house, it was difficult for Julie to give us a definite fitting date for each of the rooms. Knowing how stressful it is working around the different tradesmen we ordered the flooring into the warehouse and held them in our stockroom so that when the right time arose we could swiftly get into action.

Moduleo Click is a fantastic flooring solution, it removes the need for adhesive which not only means that it can be installed quicker, it can also be removed to access flooring underneath and then relaid. For example if your radiator or bath leaked, you could still get access without having to replace the whole floor.

“It was a little more expensive however, it was totally worth it as the solution gave us peace of mind that if we had issues with the underfloor heating we could solve it without having to start from scratch again.

Our bedroom has a load of funny angles, they cut the material to size, framing the room beautifully and then we chose to accessorise it with a rug from their showroom at the bottom of the bed. They were also fantastic with our kids, as they chose their own glitter sparkled carpet for their rooms.”
