As the social centre of your home, it says more about you than any other room in the house. Colours, patterns, furniture and accessory choice, it all comes together to create an impression of who you are.
Regardless though of what personality type you are, comfort and functionality go a long way in bringing together a well laid out room. What do you use the room for? Entertaining, watching TV, reading a book, homework; spending time considering this will help you plan the focus of your room.

In a smaller room ottomans and stools can act as ideal seating for entertaining without having to clutter up the room with lots of furniture.

Most livingrooms contain a sofa, armchair, coffee and side table the position of which may be limited by windows, fireplaces of doorways. Take measurements of the available space so that you can shortlist when browsing; a snuggle chair (two seater chair) is a great alternative to a sofa if short on space.
